About the problems with my dad, let me know what you think.. I just want to get this out of me:

Here it comes, I can see it in your eyes
This has happened too many times, this isn't a suprise
Your face starts changing, your voice starts raising
I don't know what to do, my heart starts racing
This right here, is the reason behind my aching

I barely know who I am, know not what to do
I'm depressed with no confidence, and it's all thanks to you
My pain and my sorrow, I've learned to hide
But that doesn't stop my soul, from hurting inside
Sometimes when you abuse me, I want to attack
But daddy I love you, and it's holding me back

I'm glad this is just between you and I, just our business
Mom and the sisters, will never have to witness
I fell like there's something I've done to deserve this
The scars that you've left, make me feel so worthless

Someday when I'm older, and have my own son
I'll teach him to play sports, we'll have lots of fun
I won't do to him, what you've done to me
I'll give him my life, the one you've stolen from me

I feel for you man. This actually touched me. He attacks you? Have you tried talking to someone about it in person?

Thanks, it means a lot. Yeah it varies, but it's happened. I tried setting up counseling, but of course, parental involvement was imminent and I ended up seeing some guy who was my dad's friend. You can imagine how well that went.. I refused to talk to him. I'm going into my senior year, and hopefully will be going to college on a running scholarship, I'm excited to get away.

Usually I expect rhyming poems to be tacky, but to me that's well written and has good flow. Respect for still having love for your dad, despite these problems. Just one more year, man. Just hang in there, and you'll get a break from him for awhile.

I like it. Some of the lines seemed just a tad bit corny, but overall it was really good.

Also I'm sorry about the relationship you hae with your dad. Soon enough you will be out of his grasp and into the beginning of your new life :) Hopefully one day you will be able to go back and make things better with him.

Ouch wtf?

I fear that if you ever showed this poem to your dad it would just cause more problems. Its not that deep of a poem, but everyone clearly saw your emotions and what messege you were trying to convey.

Im sorry, i guess..

that poemed touched me.
As said above, if you showed this to your dad I fear it would either make him more menacing, or cause your relationship with him to deterioriate even further.

I'd strongly suggest talking with a member of staff at school.

''Someday when I'm older, and have my own son
I'll teach him to play sports,''

This part made me ponder about my own life..and I've felt that way so many times, when I get children I'll give them a better life and treat them in a better way, a way a human begin should be treated.

Due to budget cuts in our area schools are constantly cycling through and moving around teachers, making it near impossible to stay close enough with a staff member to talk on that kind of level.

Yeah, I can't wait to hold my little guy on my lap, teach him how to play sports, coach him, go to his games. To meet my daughter's boyfriends, take prom pictures, stuff like that.

I liked the poem man. Sorry about your troubles, you shall overcome them with time :)

Mate that poem touched me, however you should say something to someone about your dads "Problems" I wouldn't stand for this if I were you, I understand he is your dad and you love him but for heaven sakes man protect yourself from him.. and goodluck in your future life, and pm me if you need to talk D:

there's nothing I can do man

This is very well written, and it hurts me to see people like you in these situations.

I'm mad at my dad if he tells me to walk with the dog, and i just realized how great my parents take care of me.

Also, i really respect the fact you still love you're dad.
Whatever my dad would do to me, he stays my dad, and i will always love him like you.
I hope you get out of this situation fast, and look into a brighter future.
