Do you think I will get demoted?

Hey so my account is currently diamond 5 at 0 lp.

I was at 21 LP this morning, and my plan was to play one last game before the season ends (11NOV) that way I will get the diamond rewards without having a risk of being demoted.

Today, I messed up and accidently played a ranked game, which I lost and now I'm at 0 LP.

I got diamond 5 a few months ago and since then I don't really play at the same level anymore plus I don't follow all of the champion buffs etc, so I'm not confident in my play.

I usually get about 15 LP and lose 22 ish. I will need to complete one more game so I don't get deranked for inactivity (which I will do in about 3 weeks) that way I'll still be diamond at 11 NOV.

My question is, will I get demoted incase I lose that last ranked game? I just hit 0 LP, but I'm scared if I lose I will be demoted instantly to plat 1.

 

I'd say based on that lp gain/loss, you definitely won't be demoted. Your MMR has to be really bad (a whole league below, i.e. plat 5) for that to happen. You can also check the ranks of the players in the last ranked game that you played to be sure about what MMR you're at.

 

Doubt it. I know people with terrible MMR that lose like 5 games on 0lp and still haven't been demoted to diamond, best of luck

 

Nah you are fine. You have to be a whole tier in mmr lower to get demoted

 

When you start playing with plat 3s consistently in your games as a d5, you should start to worry. Right now, it looks like you'd be playing with high/mid plat 1s in your games so it should be fine.

At rank 5 you usually need to lose a large amount of games to get demoted regardless of mmr (I think).


You can also pay people on sythe for a net win for you.

 

You're probably pretty safe.

 

Pretty much depends on how much you've lost since you're diamond 5. If you lost 75-80% of the games of 10+ games, you're likely to get demoted. If need be, I can assure you that win for $10.

 

Nah, very very unlikely. You'd need to lose like 20 games out of 25 in a row to be demoted...that's if you have a 45-50% win rate. If it's higher, then even 20 losses wouldn't demote you.

 

Nope. I've seen worst who aren't even demoted when they should. Breathe and you'll be fine.

 

if youre playing with mid-low plat you might be demoted, but i'd assume you need to lose a fuckton at 0lp to get demoted to plat. I lost around 8 games at 0lp i didn't get demoted
