I should probably quit gambling now.

I went on a huge downturn in July of last year, lost about $20,000 betting on CSGO.

In the last quarter of 2015 I unboxed some shitty $250 knife and threw it on CSGOJackpot and won a $13,000 pot. From there i progressively built up to a $132,000 inventory and then again dropped a bit down to $110,000 before cashing out for ~$68,000 and a few leftover play skins.


Last night I went up a good bit as well on CSGO betting, about $8,000 if i sell it for cash. Even though I love gambling occasionally and betting against my own odds for a larger payout (Hi Bogla c; <3), after all of these amazing climbs I'm only up about $42,000 total over the past year because of my addiction of betting on like 14x payout etc.

Any thoughts? Anyone else in the same boat at this large of a scale? I'm up a fair bit, but there's always room for more

If you continue, you'll end up losing it all. That's exactly how odds work and that's the reason why the big guys can do huge payouts because they make profit off it.

They have a 55% winrate, each 100$ bet they make 5$ in the long run, think about it.

It's not a 50/50 pot lol. Jackpot and Shuffle I would have 99.99% odds of winning if I put in 49 skins worth $9999 and someone put in 1 skin worth $1. These sites don't work off of 50/50 odds.

ie;
I put in $6,000
Another person puts in $1000
4 People put in $500 ea
1 other person puts in $2000

My Odds = 60%
$500 depositors odds = 5% each
$100 deposit = 10%
$2000 deposit = 20%

Hypothetically it is a ticket system. Lets say $1 = 1 ticket. If i deposit $6000 and i deposit first I have Tickets 1-6000, and so on per bettor.

In end, the only stable 50/50 site is www.csgolotto.com which is just a flip of a coin.

 

In this example your still at a 60-40 odds against your opponents, regardless of odds, you should stop, chances are not a good investment.

 

I don't understand gambling (as far as using CSGO skins is concerned) but it sounds like a deep, deep hole if things go poorly.

 

Gambling is never good. My grandpa's brother used to be an "assistant" to a Saudi prince and lost over $20 million in one night of gambling and literally went insane. Took him a few years to recover mentally when he lost that much money. Now he's a tennis instructor at a local park working for $20/hr.

Cash out homie, that's some fucking college tuition shit right there. I'm struggling to pay my tuition right now in uni and indebting myself so much with borrowing, I'd take that money in a heartbeat if I were you.

 

I don't understand CSGO gambling, but I agree, this is like a trap. Once you're addicted there's no going out? Just try quitting?

just cash out and make sure you NEVER do it again, but from experience i can tell that if you made a lot of money you will come back to lose it eventually anyway

 

I did cash out. I'm just at contemplating cashing in a bit to try to make another large sum of money. I'm well off irl, this just lets me have nice unneeded things.

Also, you don't want to end up going down while gambling, cashing into your regular savings/income and end up losing that to. Once you start losing, you're gonna keep trying to win until you lose it all. Casinos and other gambling mechanisms wouldn't exist if it didn't make the dealer money.

 

Gambling is a bad thing. I would never lay my hands on anything where I'd be risking my own money for a chance at doubling or even tripling it. I don't care about the odds, what I have isn't worth losing for what I could have.

Run for the hills man. Even if you are well off, you need to kick this addiction. It may not seem like a big deal now since you have the money to play with, but eventually it will lead into you dipping into savings that you shouldn't.

 

If you're going to gamble you should get into sports gambling where you can make your odds way better than any odds on a cs go gambling site if you're knowledgeable, best of luck with deciding with what you want to do.

use a gambling account with only items on it your willing 2 lose.

if when u lose, take a break for a bit, and go rebuild after u calm down

 

I gamble in real life at a casino, I take $100 with me and I usually only play roulette. Some days I walk out with $0 some days I walk out with 1-2K I'm currently up $5500 at my current casino from walking away every time I was ahead and starting again a few days later I found myself losing a lot when I would make rash decisions on betting while ahead

Can you explain CSGO betting to me? I kind of have the grasp down but I don't understand how a $140 skin turns into $13,000. I also know you're not lying which means I need to start playing CSGO. From one gambler to another, teach me your ways.
