    Lifetime Membership?

Runescape is having a contest on the community forum. Get a skull tattoo prize from the new wheel, make it your avatar, and post on the thread. There are over 30 pages of posts and not one post has the tattoo yet. But the prize is lifetime membership, seems nice, but considering the chances of even getting the tattoo it's just another promotion because it's a member prize so you'll need to be member to claim it, and making people want to be a member to get 2 rolls a day instead of one.

    What do you guys think?

i think it would be worth it because an account with a lifetime membership could be sold for a ton of money.

Yea the chances of even getting it your prize list are rare enough and then you have to roll it too when it's the hardest group to roll.

So if the tattoo shows up for a non-member you need to subscribe to be able to win the contest? can't you post that you 'won' it? (but can't claim)

another way to pull in members - nice reward though...

They'd had like 500 contests with the same reward...TBH. No one ordinary wins; it's always the popular fags.

Well if you are already paying to play Runescape and you end up winning a tattoo on the wheel, you may as well post on the forums to claim the lifetime membership prize.

It sucks for F2P players though who have to pay to even have a shot at winning though. Clever, clever Jagex...

No one ordinary knows about this event. I for one don't, since it's in the forums. It spreads faster to popular people, than to unpopular ones.

It's been over a week since the wheel's release, having more than 100,000 active accounts logging in daily and spinning, assuming half are members, it means the wheel has been spun over a million times easily.

Either this tattoo is extremely rare, or someone or some people have already gotten it, but does not know about the event.

Same as the lottery, gotta buy a ticket to win it. Also probably the same odds too.

The wheel is rigged to land on lower prizes. About a third of the possible prizes each time are something rare, and i haven't gotten anything good from 20 rolls between different accounts. If it was an even chance of getting each thing, then you would get at least one rare item from it every week

Wow, that's actually kind of cool. Yeah it's a great business trick on Jagex's part but I'll keep an eye out for any dragon tattoos haha.

Anyone got the quick-find for this post btw?

    NO REALLY?

OT: Why shoulden't Jagex try to lure in more people to get membership? they don't function as a company if they're not making money.

And you can't just make a bunch of account and roll the wheel because you also need the required skill level to post on the forums, and that many memberships wouldn't be cheap.

I'm just wondering like if you win it on a side acc if you can use the lifetime membership on your main.

Clever Jagex, making people pay to have a chance at getting the tattoo...
The chance of that is 1/200,000 or something, so gl.
