I need to run AVG from command prompt help!

Okay my explorer.exe got a virus and every time i turn on my computer it doesnt respond(So i dont have acces to my icons but i can use the task manager which has run_ i want to run avg to clean the file but i don't know how to run it i've tried many commands but they havent worked. And also, it takes my computer about 10-20 minutes to start after my friend changed the RAM location on the computer yesterday could this be effecting it also? And if i find the restore disk can't i restore files or something like that repair files?
EDIT: and i deleted the restore points ran out of disk space

Chance C to your HDD.
If you aren't using vista, remove (x86) (This is for 64 bit computers)

This should be the default. (For AVG8)

For your issue...

I would re-install windows. Pop in a Windows XP/Vista CD, and let it run. When it asks you where to install, reformat the C drive while you're doing it and do a FRESH clean install.

(If it's an Consumer PC (like Dell, HP, etc) theres a sticker for your XP/VISTA CD Key. Write it down and when you reinstall it. Use that. If it says you can't activate it call up windows and say there was an icky virus and you need to re-activate it.)
