If its at a house or private residence, yes.
If its at a venue, no.

in my experience Venues are shitty hell holes packed with smokers, no ventilation and a dozen big security assholes who just want to take your drank. Also higher chance of cops crashing. Last party i was at the security not only let 5 Cop cars hang around outside on the street for the whole duration of the party, checking bags on the way in, but they also came through the venue twice to see if anybody was drinking inside.
