i need help connecting to xbox live.

i need help trying to connect to xbox live. i am just using a router to connect. when i try to connect to xbox live i pass the ip address but the dns server fails. if u know anything that can help me with this problem plz help me out. ty.

 

Do you have a firewall that's active on your computer? because signals may be blocked.

 

Your Router could be blocking it thinking it is someone else tryin to connect to your Internet. Try checking your router setting to see what is allowed to connect
