hi. i need a free modem so that i can go on xbox live but my mom will not buy me one so i need to get a free one if anyone will offer. my mom doesnt care if i have one but she just doesnt want to buy one cuz we are kind of poor. so plz if anyone can offer me one plz send it to me. ty. german_tower. pm me or post here

Modems are pretty cheap these days, just check out some electronic store. Tigerdirect.com or newegg.com if you want to buy online

 

A free modem..?

First of wouldn't you want a router, so you could have internet on the computer and on the Xbox360?

Second, Wouldn't your ISP provide a DSL-router/modem? I dont know about anyone else but my ISP provided my modem/router with a SMALL fee.

explain how you have internet but no modem please.

Theres a little more to it then just getting a modem and hooking it up. You have to first of all have internet that uses modems, it could be a cable modem or a dsl modem. Then you have to get the modem drivers installed and probly have to call your internet provider and activate it.

If you dont have a modem then you probly have dial up or wireless internet. If you have dial up then no you need to get better internet. if you have wireless internet then i think you can buy something for your 360 for wireless internet. I know the ps3 has wireless features, not sure what the 360 has.

theyre like 20 $ for used ones, just buy a used one off someone or off ebay.
