I know its old... But I lolled...

So old that I didn't even click :o

I'm guessing that it's about the phishers in England haha

It's an article titled: "Runescape creator pursues 'phishing thieves'"

You can piece together the rest with your imagination.

ah yea i remember this, so sad ahah.

I don't understand what's funny.. Some loser trying to steal RuneScape accounts so he could profit got caught and paid for it. He should be given the death penalty as a warning to all other phishers out there. ;)

Great idea, then they'd have to do it with everyone caught phishing otherwise his death would be unfair.
No, that's just stupid. No legal record or action should be taken besides a huge fine. That will give them the message quick-smart.

Shall we get arrested for pickpocketing now?

Actually, not sure we're you're from but that's illegal in Australia. That's direct stealing lol.

So the media claims, I wouldn't believe 50% of that article.

Gold really did cost about that much back then.

I know that, I was around then.

Hence why I said I wouldn't believe 50% of that article.

well... okay. On one hand you say you wouldn't believe half that article (and were quoting what they 'claimed' the price of gold to be) and were implying that they shouldn't be believable because of that, but then you go to say you realize that that is the correct price, and because they were correct, they should only be half-trusted? u no makin sense

Well of course they'd do it to all the other phishers, it would definitely make people think again before doing it.

I see, my error.

No it didn't, back in 2009 it wasn't that expensive? It was about $2 per million WITH a transfer method.

"Current underground exchange rates suggest that 2m Runescape gold costs about £6 ($10)."
I still remember those prices... 3$/m now what has it come to, to sell it its .50c/mill :l

Good old times..

Current underground exchange rates suggest that 2m Runescape gold costs about £6 ($10).
Was it that expensive? i mean seriously like 5$/m ?
