I just killed my sound! HELP!

I don't really have time to make this post fancy
but


i was trying to plug something in my computer, a microphone and i accidently removed the sound card and the sound was gone, of course. so i unplugged my computer and i plugged it back in. after many failed attempts, the freaking sound wont work although its plugged in. ive had this problem before, but i do not know how to fix it. i tried playing a song through winamp and i get a message saying: Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error Code: 88780078

If there is a temporary replacement i can use to hear sound( i have a stereo with a AUX cable and thats about it.
help please!

yeah, i think so too as i just noticed that section. thanks anyways and i hope ill get a better answer there.

 

i think ur sound card burned. your not supposed to take it out while ur computer is running -.- i did that to my hard drive and i blasted my 80GB hard drive.
