I just got braces

my braces dont really bother me and i dont mind that i have them.only thing i hate is that they break so easily and then the orthodonist whines about it.tell me how i ate a piece of bacon and it broke one of my brackets...

That sucks. I never had braces and never will need them according to my orthodontist.

i got em a few months ago,but like everyone says just drink shakes and ice cream for awhile,and yea making out is almost ruined by them especially if the girl has em to

 

Just got mine off!!!! Tell you the truth, your lucky to have gotten them when your 13. I got mine when i was 16 and it was terrible! You will have those things for a while, nothing to worry about. Lieing about your age will be a little bit harder ( GIRLS!! ) but nothing big. All I have to say is, brush your teeth well. I ate every single thing they told me not to and they always told me my teeth looked good.

One huge advice!
Right after the appointment to get them tightened GO EAT!!! after a little bit they will be hurting just like they are now, and it's terrible.

Advil helps but not to much just to let you know.

I had braces twice, for two years each. The first time I only had brackets on my front four top teeth, and the second time I had them everywhere. I think part of the reason I had problems with them was cause I chewed gum, ate apples, ate popcorn, and everything you weren't supposed to do. I hope your braces aren't hell like mine.

 

the pain will go away and you wont notice them, its hard to eat some stuff with meats, nuts, and other hard stuff and i would suggest suger free gum.

also brush and brush every day not after every meal but morning and night.
and tell the dude who dide your braces if anything is wrong.

i used to have braces but got em taken off and on retainers now.

 

im really intereste din this topic. im going to be getting braces soon and am wondering,

1.can u get braces for 1 row? because my top row is perfect but my bottom is the one thats not straight

2. is it painful when they put it on ? like needles or anything like that?

 

Ah... I remember the days i had braces; painful. Whenever you get them tightened your teeth ache alot so be prepared. Drink soup and also if the pain keeps persisting you could take some paracetamol (What my dentist told me).

 

I remember when I had them for a year, it was suffering for the first week. I remeber I used to break brackets lol my dentist hated me.
