Can someone get banned on runesccape for account sharing if it's to different IP's I'm fairly curious

To answer your question, back in the day I recieved 2 mutes for account sharing on my main account, so I guess you could. Don't worry too much about it tho, chances of getting caught are very slim!

I bought an account for $280 and its permanently banned i can appeal but it wont do anything..

 

Let the guy who sold you the account do the appeal saying he was hacked. You'll have a decent chance of getting the account unbanned if it was for account-sharing or selling.

 

acc sharing = ban

especially when the IPs are from different countries

 

They've been more lax with this rule actually since there are a some streamers that have had other people on there accounts for a short time. However it is still against the rules technically. Low chance a ban I'd so, but chance of it getting locked for sure

 

I've been sharing accounts with my friend over 2 years now, nothing happened at least 10 + accounts, maybe because all we did was PK and Stake.
But i really doubt you will be banned unless you guys are high rank on hiscores or in general EXP gainers.

 

It's against the rules, yes.
However, I share an account with a friend that I've known for 2 years (Nothing has happened yet) in the past yes, but if you stay low profile & don't do anything major & stupid, you'll be fine.

Also a good tip; Don't say to anyone/public chat or any sort that you're account sharing/the account isn't yours. (I know this is a no brainer common sense rule but many people blurb it out without giving it a second thought).

 

I haven't really ever shared accounts but I'd also only do that with IRL mates due to 1. You can be sure he won't do anything to your account / he's "trusted", and 2. You don't have too different IPs (If people from other countrys login to your account it could happen that the account gets locked)

Yea, jadex is pretty much strict in rules.

Everyone related illegal activites are illegal basically.

 

on classic we rent/share accounts all the time and fk all happends...
also share a account on a 07 stkaer nothings ever happend

If you're asking if account sharing is against the Runescape rules then yes it is.
If you're asking if you can get banned for it, yes you can.
If you're asking if you WILL get banned for doing it, then the answer is different. Jagex do not manually go searching for accounts to ban, you have to have evidence against you or a reason for them to ban you (in most circumstances.)

If you're asking if you'll get banned for simply logging in on a different IP, no you won't. I've logged in on my account from probably thousands of different IPs and have never been banned for it.

EDIT: Probably should have read more posts before replying but if you're looking to account share just don't do it with somebody from a different country often.
