Yes I agree with this 100% I also give up on rank matchmaking.

I have played a total of 27 ranked games, 23 of which where wins, 2 where looses and two ties. Now I would say in my first 2-6 games I was shit, 3-5th place everytime. But after practicing offline and watching youtube vidoes of common places to hide and areas you can shoot threw I then and now am always in 1-2 with 60+ points per game and yet I have been stuck at silver 3 since my 10th win.

 

I'm now on a 8 win streak with 1 tie in the middle. 6 games top frag, 2 I'm second. Still SEM, oh well just keep playing, rank really means nothing to me anymore...

 

If you guys get new accounts and play on them. Then I bet you will get against higher rank in 2 wins. I have been smurfing on silver 2 for a while now. The win streak is crazy, and I carry all games. Still takes up to 20+ Wins to get 2 ranks. The wins on the account is about 40 and ranked silver 2 when I started.

Yes going to start doing this once I get back into playing more then once per week haha, I wanted to before since I honestly don't care on ranking. The only way to improve and get better is to play against people better, and not ranking up when you top frag 95% of your matches does not help me get better.

 

Round wins and MVPs is the most popular and accepted way people believe the ranking system works.

 

And you give up because of that? You should be grateful that at least you had won the whole time and only lost once, I had played 9 matches since Monday and only won twice, 3 ties and the rest are loss and I went from MGE to MG1 and I literally don't care because I played the whole time solo but if I only had played with a team I could have probably even ranked up.

You should probably look for team who are near your place and play with them and also MVPs and k/d ratio matters as well. Wonder why I said this? When you play your very first comp match on an unranked match, you are going to be teamed up and played against Silvers and if you won and then get a k/d ratio of 40/3, you are likely to be teamed up against MG2-MGE next time and if you get like 4/20 k/d ratio, you'll be put down on a lower rank like GN4 or even lower and back and forth but THAT'S JUST MY THEORY because that's how everything worked for me.

 

Don't take everything you read so seriously. All I wanted to do was point out how many wins in a row I had, compared to others, in order to rank up. I was the epitome of jokes between my friends because of how they somehow manage to zoom passed ranks when they know that I'm better than at least 2 of them that are now a few ranks ahead of me. You're in the wrong place if you want to take a game so seriously and can't just laugh at one's misfortune on said game.

 

4 straight wins, 1 draw, 1 loss followed by 9 straight wins to go from 3-4 silver. And then this shitty record to go from 4 to elite.

 

You don't just win to rank up in CSGO.

You have to get MVP and have a good score. You need to basically shut down an enemy team that's a full rank ahead of you.

I got a 7 day ban in CSGO when I first started at Silver 1, my first game back ranked me to S2, and the 2nd 1 ranked me to S3. I don't really get their system

 

Only problem was in my 9 win streak (after a 4 win streak, 1 draw, 1 loss) when I went from Silver 3 to 4, I was rarely below top 2 in my team. You don't get MVPs when you lose which I did a lot in Silver 4. My performance was way better in Silver 3, a few weeks of not playing much, I haven't been playing as well then pair that with a few unlucky games.

Something's definitely up with the ranking system. As much as I'd like to believe round wins and MVPs are what caused you to rank up, from my experience moving from silver 4 to elite says otherwise.

I do 7 games to loose on purpose, in one of them i derank from lem to le. I then take one game just a few min ago and win. We was 3 pre le, and was againts a few lem. After the match I rank up, and here is my win/loss history
