I picked up a pair of Sennheiser 598s on Black Friday for $95 and they are the best things I have ever put on my head. Just ordered a pair of Philips SHP-9500-- I think I'm addicted.

What do you guys use for audio?

I use Logi G430s, but I've heard good things about the insane-quality headphones that go for like $400. I want to try a pair, but I'm not an audiophile that's willing to drop $400 on a pair of headphones xD.

I feel like I'm an odd person here, but I don't particularly notice the difference between moderate priced headphones or the dearer ones. If I listen through a friends Beats, I don't find them very different to my Steelseries Siberia V3 Headset (Which to answer the question is what I generally use.)

Oh boy. Yes they look cool but after about 21 seconds mine just hurt my head/ears so much. I don't know how they're supposed to be good (Not sure on which version I've got - pretty sure it's a decent one though.)

I used to use siberia V2 steelseries a while back

And while they fit pretty good, it's just not the same quality as the ones I'm using right now

These are just perfect IMO and pretty cheap too, only about 100€.

I have the Sennheiser One's if I remember the name right. Had them a while now, they remain comfortable and provide great audio.. Especially from my macbook. Nice long cable to go with it, highly recommend.

Are the 598's really big? I really want to buy some high quality headphones but i'm afraid that they're too god damn big.

I honestly use skullcandy's, they're inexpensive and not too bad sound quality wise.

Funny enough I was actually going to create a thread about any recommendations for headphones, headsets /in-ear headphones....Anyone have any?

Something reasonably priced, but looking for something that lasts long as well. Also ship-able to Uk.

Because I for some reason like to break things easily, when they have wires.

Try out these SHP-9500s once they go on sale. They're a discontinued brand that's priced a lot cheaper than what they're worth, from what I've heard. I've seen them compared to Sennheiser 600s which are ~$3-350. I'll tell you what I think when they arrive!

From what I've collected Beats/Bose put a lot more into marketing than they do sound quality. Maybe you haven't tried the right thing, or maybe it's just different for everyone. I've been a lifelong lover of music and these really impress me. Also miss u.

Definitely not too big for me but they may look different depending on headshape. I'm pretty particular about my image in public and have no problem wearing them! Also extremely comfortable.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-SHP...2?ie=UTF8&qid=1450410836&sr=8-2&keywords=9500 These are supposed to be great. I'll hit you up with a review once I try them out!

Wait, you've been using the 598s out in public without a problem? I was looking into buying them (or a similar pair) but decided against it because I thought that these kinds of open headphones aren't suited for outside use due to sound leakage/letting sound in. My friend's roommate also has the 598s and says that they're really loud. I could just be misinformed though.

Beats aren't "good" hah. Look up some of the higher end Bose headphones.. Those are something else entirely.

They have a LOT of sound leakage, what people say is true. I just turn them down on the bus and don't give a fuck otherwise. I would definitely not choose them if you listen to music loudly or mostly on the bus/library/etc.

I suppose so, that's why they'd be the only brands that I really hear about. I'll look into it a little bit more.

There is a huge difference between cheap headphones and a true audiophile grade setup.

It makes regular headphones sound like rattling tin cans, my ears are spoiled :p
