I Don't Act My Age

Alright, I feel like I can open up to people on the Internet, especially in this forum because people here are usually smart and open-minded. Don't judge me, and I'm going to be bland with this:

I'm a cocky little asshole and I feel too smart for my age. I'm 13 years old right now, almost 14, and it seems to like there's no one in grade 9 that you can have an intelligent discussion with. It's like the only things that exist are tits and food. I think that's one reason why I like talking to people on the Internet; most people aren't dumbasses. I'm a social person, I like talking with girls and hanging out with people, but my goodness some people need to smarten up (literally). I started learning HTML when I was like 8. I'm not trying to prove to you all how smart I am, but sometimes I think I'd fit in more if I was in grade 12, not grade 9. I don't even think this is a good thing, I don't fit in. The funny thing is, I'm like 5"4, not physically mature at all and was born in December. People can't even take me seriously. Sometimes I get pissed off. Even in freaking video games, no one my age can put something simple to use and they just keep making mistakes over and over. I have two personalities, I think. #1: I'm a nice kid, have good manners, treat people with respect, etc. etc. #2: I'm a dick who doesn't like people and thinks I deserve better. I mean, I don't want to be like this but sometimes it seems like I could be putting WAY more use to myself. I wake up, go to school at 6:30, row, shower, finish school, walk home, play video games, have supper and go to sleep. Rinse and repeat. I need some variety. I want a job or something. I want to get away from all this. Even in school it's like the same thing. No one in my English class understands Romeo and Juliet, I've read that in one day, 1984 in one day, Fahrenheit 451 in one day and Brave New World. I don't even know if you're reading this far, and I don't even know if I care, because I think that I'm only writing this for self-satisfaction and to get all of it out of me. If you are, then what do you think I should do? What can a 14 year old kid do for a job? I don't even care if I get paid or anything, can I help out on this website somehow? Give me something to do.

Is it normal to think like this? Does everyone think they're smarter than everyone their age? Do I need counseling? Do I have a mental sickness?

Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes (I'm kinda angry) or you think I'm an asshole after reading that. That's okay, it's your opinion. I try not to be when I'm dealing with people, but right now I'm only talking to myself and I'll be more professional in the comments. So please; share your thoughts, lemme know what you think, what I should do. Thanks.

 

the best advice i can give you is to get over yourself, you aren't better then anyone because you're smarter mate. try to get over the fact and live with it, you'll become socially challenged if you keep up the "im smarter then everyone else" attitude.

 

Wow, that was a lot to process. Don't worry you are not the only one here with that problem. I also started learning HTML when I was 7 and I love reading books and doing stuff that other people think are not cool or nerdy. Almost all the people in my grade are complete idiots who don't even know how to spell chicken, literally. Just ignore them, use the Internet to have intelligent conversations with other members here on sythe. I think there is a thread for that. Also, you could use your knowledge of HTML to good use here on sythe. Try doing HTML for people who need it done. I think there is a thread for that. Thats all I got!

 

@fardeenc Alright thanks, cheered me up a little bit. I kind of gave up on scripting languages a while ago, but maybe that would be something fun to do, because maybe I'll always be learning and doing new things. I guess things will be a lot more chill when I get out of high school.

@rickjames I don't really think I'm better than them, I just mean.. I dunno, it seems hard to connect to people because they just don't think like me, I suppose. Real friends are hard to come by. I'm not like most people my age, I find. The only friend I can talk to in real life about stuff like this is a girl I know, and she hates me at the moment. Maybe that's why I'm pissed off.
