Wow, to be honest it seems like you are getting scammed from the site.

When you donated that 5mill it was around $5 each. 5x5=25... Now they say to donate another $10 to get the $25 rank?

Basically you donated the 5mill gave the site $25 but now they are saying that 5mill only counts for $15 that extra $10 you gave them you are not getting.

When Thorpe set up Sythe mills, I am pretty sure he sold mills for $7.99 ea. But hey, I could be wrong.

 

At the time, 1M was valued at $3. All gold received from donations was sold for $3/mill as well.

I think the mills should just be valued at $5 a mill, as was the market price at the time. I know this still leaves the old donators with the ranks that showed a sense of seniority will be mad regardless, but don't short their donations.

 

I would think that the 5m+ donators be given the option to donate $10 more to acheive $25 rank.

If 5m = $15 +$10 = $25 rank.

 

I assume that the mills donated were sold through SytheMills. If that is the case, 1M would've made the site $8 and not $3 as said.

You pay for a rank at the price that it was, not what it can change to. That's like saying "I'll sell you this apple for a $1. And now that apple is worth $10. I want $9."

You had the option to donate gold or cash at one point. 1M was valued at 3 dollars. If you donated $15, you would get the 5M rank. Matthew just removed the old gold ranks so that ranks would be easier to manage and all donators would get the same privileges.

At the time of the users donations, they donated a certain amount. With there donate they received certain perks, one of these perks being a special rank. Then a few years later you decide to change them and some people get less perks? How is this even fair.


So i can go into the market and say offer skill training service, 99 for $30 Somebody sees its a good deal and pays me $30 for 99. Then a week later i change my prices before finishing my first job, so that 99 is $50 and 70 is $30. That doesn't mean that i stop at 70, or ask for another $20 and i am pretty sure i would be banned for scamming.

Now replace the the the "99 skill service" with a donator rank, and the "70 skill service" with a lower donator rank

Since the majority of the old Donators are displeased about this change, you can stop using that as an excuse. We would gladly go back to how it was. Having our awesome ranks was the best 'privilege' of all.

Not really. Please look up the definition of the word 'donation'. Donation means that you give something as in a form of support, not buying a perks of an online forum, therefore I agree 100% with Matthew on this one. Also, it is a perk, if sythe had an idea of deleting all donation ranks he could do so and delete all your ranks without any notices or refunds. It is his choice, you DONATED, not bought a perk / rank. Get your facts right please.

When they donated their RSGP they where promised a rank saying they donated RSGP. And suddenly Matthew decided that he should no longer keep what he promised.
That would be like if I'm paying usfine to get me level my hunting to 99, and at 90 they decides to level my fishing instead.
