How's your life going?

Mine is fine, boring, but great. For the past 3 years come august, I've been getting up at 6 in the morning, making it to college, going straight from my classes there to highschool until 2:30. I get a 30 minute break there where I change and shower really quickly, pack a small lunch (usually just grab an apple or something) and I have to be to work by 3. I work until 8, come home, chill on sythe and striked, and play video games if I don't have homework. I stay up until about midnight usually (sometimes 2 or 3 if I have tons of homework or I'm really into my game) then I go to bed and start the next day over again.

Weekends are nice, I usually sleep in until 11 or noon and party through the night if there's a good one going on

 

Going good, now.

Had terrible junior years of high school, now I'm at the top of my class in my senior years. Planinng on going to one of the best business universities in Canada to pursue my BBA, then my MBA. Looking to break into investment banking at one of the big firms after university (Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse)


Never got into partying, or even hanging with friends for that matter. I just isolate myself in my house and suck up all the knowledge I can by reading books and articles on the internet.

 

Pretty good. Just enjoying my last year of high school and the last year without a whole bunch of responsibility etc.

 

Last year it wasn't going too well. This year, it's going great. I'll just list a few things on why it's so great.

- Fell in love with a girl. The feeling is mutual. <-- This is a biggy, I'm crazy about her.
- Doing well in school.
- I have a job.
- Doing well financially.
- I've had a lot of fun experiences so far this year.

 

I would say overall it's going fairly well. I kind of miss my old place in california but there isn't much I can do about that. Now all that's really left on my list of things to accomplish is to finally ask this one girl out.

 

I can't say that I'm happy with my life as of right now but I don't get depressed over it or anything, because I know that I'll work everything out in the end and it'll all be okay.

• Relationship of ~3.5 years going strong
• Currently no job
• Have a car, but no license
• In between schools
• Family life is essentially nonexistent. This gets me down sometimes but I am close with my girlfriend's family. We have good times and it helps me feel like I do have a family.
• Losing touch with friends

Most of the problems are a direct result of each other, and I can start fixing them soon. For example, once I get my license (in May) I can get a job. Once I get a job, I can start helping to pay for school. Once I'm done with school, I can get a more permanent job and get back in touch with a lot of my friends, and make some new ones.

So all in all I'd say that this is just a bad time in my life that I'll soon overcome and I shouldn't worry too much about it.

 

Very well, 3rd year on uni on track to get honours, one of two jobs lined up if I do or don't get them in the end, got good mates no girlfriend at the moment but oh well xD- can't see how it could get much better (aside from being born into better circumstances i guess)

Why would you be glad of such a thing?

 

Most likely because moping around about how miserable your life is never accomplishes anything?

 

yeah but there are other things between moping and glad on that spectrum

 

My life is going great! I met the girl of my dreams, have a great family, and am applying to my dream job, a police officer <3

moved in with my girlfriend of 2 years this year
graduated from high school in 2009, straight into fulltime work doing a Cert III in IT, and this year i got straight into a real full time job at a school. I've been very lucky and hope to start building some skills and investing in the next few years.

i miss living on the coast by the beach which sucks, but the city's not so bad.

Oh how I hate this attitude, there are things that are just chance. On the train today I played around with a dice. Did each number the dice land on have a little lesson attached to it?

that saying doesn't mean chance doesn't exist, like you said its an attitude, a way to look at things and learn from your expiriences. like when you go to a casino, roll a dice lose all your drug/strippers money. you learn a lesson not to do that sh** again.

 

There's not much going on in my life right now. I'm in a steady relationship, school currently is pretty easy (taking easy ass courses this semester) all I do is chill with my girl and play Xbox.

My life sucks and is good at the same time...

Recently I got 99 slayer on RuneScape, but at the cost of losing my girlfriend in real life...How you might ask, well here goes:

I was literally 10K from 99 Slayer, when my girlfriend calls, "Hi Pablo, do you wanna go to the movies tonight?", "Caitlin, I am 10K from 99 Slayer, can we go afterwards"? "PABLO, IT IS EITHER ME OR THAT FUCKING GAME", "I pick RuneScape then." Girlfriend calls it quits...


So you might ask, what kind of emotional pain are you in?
