becoming a market mod, irc frequent user, or a offical mm?

Umm you would have to be active in the market, help people, answer questions to become a market mod. Irc user I would say someone who uses the irc alot and is always on it. I dont think the official MM rank exists anymore due to jagex bringing the 3k limit in play and Bounty hunter.

No most people get it due to bum licking staff. not all but some

not just bum licking them but also being active all the time reporting spamm
reporting attemped scamm

No i didnt mean like if you JUST kiss up but kissing up is a major task as it makes mods/admins like you.

Actually you don't have to kiss ass. Just be active, be yourself and help out in the community. You'll get noticed some time.

 

MM = You can't get this rank anymore.
IRC rank = Be active on the irc, and eventually you'll have it.
Market Mod = Self explainable really. It's the same way you get mod on any forum.
