How to Verify Your Paypal Account

First I want to say that this will not be the prettiest of guides out there however, I just wanted to make a quick guide on this because i have had a lot of trouble with it in the past. This will help some people out that don't have a credit card or do not want to attach a bank account to their paypal account. I'm sure there are a lot more ways to do this that are easier, but this is what i did.

Verifying a paypal account will enable you to send money, if you have recieved money on an unverified paypal account the only thing that you can do with it is watch it sit in payapl. Not to much fun.

The easiest way to verify your account would be to purchase a pre-loaded gift card from the store. Any amount will work, i have used a Vanilla Visa and American Express Card so those two work.

Attaching the card to your paypal account



Enter Your Address, and Credit Card Details then you will be asked to confirm your credit card.

$1.95 will be charged on your gift card. You will need to get the 4 digit code that paypal provides on the website that hosts the gift card, American Express Pre-Paid Gift card for example has the web page

Enter Your Card Details and you should see the $1.00 and $1.95 charged by paypal to add your card which means your 4-digit code will be sent in a few days. [The money paypal charges to your card will be reloaded onto your paypal account a few days after your card is confirmed]

YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE WILL TAKE AROUND 3 BUISNESS DAYS TO APPEAR ON YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT.

If your card has not been charged, go back to paypal, go back to your credit card details and press the confirm credit card link. On the next page it will have a place to enter a 4 digit code, or it says something along the lines of "Send Confirmation Code" which you will need to click.

After you have recieved your 4-digit code enter it in on the paypal confirm credit card page and you will be able to send up to $2000.00.
