How to start a main the right way? help bros

began levelling my pure and I just can't commit any time to it and am not really enjoying this dumb ass grind where everything kills me already. I was hoping of reaching 60/80 quested and pking a little, but I think it'll get old quick and I always end up selling it.

I'm planning on 70 defence and doing a little more overall game than I usually do but would like to PK a little as well. Is having a 70 defence or 'main' a lot of questing to compete? I'll probably get B gloves and veng eventually but don't want to complete every quest under the sun

How should I level? begin questing defence then level it? does it matter?

What's high level pking like? I don't want to have to spend a fortune getting turmoil and work for months on 94 mage just to compete.

been out this game for 5+ years. only at 40/60/1 and already find it quite tiresome.. maybe its the limited training you can do on pures.

 

if you're going 70 defence, questing for defence doesn't matter at what point you do it. I recommend just getting ALL the questing over with fast, you'll only have to do it once ever.

 

If you don't find a pure fun to train, why even keep it a pure?
I enjoy main accounts more than anything, because there is no restriction and you don't have to be super careful all the time.

oh good. so lunar and barrows gloves are my only main objectives here to be able to PK? is there anything else, i.e overloads or anything crap they added?

nope. Everything is basically the same as the original game was in 2007, except with addition of corp, nightmare zone, etc etc.

I'd recommend getting def up quickly with either quests or cb if you plan on getting it anyway. It definitely helps a lot when training.

You should definitely go afk guthans imo and/or splash for magic.

 

what exactly is splash magic again? seen this alot. it was around ages ago with curses?

 

If you're already tired of it at that low of level, you'll get tired of it later on in levels. Quest everything possible.

Splash training is getting -68 mage attack bonus and then leaving your account to auto retaliate on a chicken, spider, etc. Low leveled monsters. You can do this for 6 hours 100% AFK.

 

what is the splash xp like? does it matter what you cast?

I hate quests the most man haha.

 

You can cast any spell as long as you're -68 magic bonus, everyone does this nowadays

start botting and it will get you in the right direction, bot for an hour no longer and take a break then return, ive been doing this for ages without any bans seems to be doing the trick
