How to shoot a basketball with proper formation!

This guide is to teach you how to shoot a basketball correctly & properly.

Step 1

When preparing to shoot a basketball, always makes sure your hands are aligned & the basketball's lines are horizontal.



Step 2

On the second step of shooting a basketball, you should have your elbow straight in an L shape.



Step 3

make sure your elbow is tucked in, not sprung out. Keeping your elbow tucked in will ensure you to have a straight shot.



Step 4

keep your eyes on the basketball hoop.



Step 5

bend your knees so your shot will not be using all your arm's strength.



Step 6

Now follow through with your shot, use your knees & the flick from you wrist to preform a perfect shot.




After you have shot the basketball, make sure to follow your shot just incase you miss so you can put the ball back into the hoop.

For maximum range i like to release my shot at the apex of my jump, not while in the motion of jumping. Buts that's just my preference.
