How To Remove/Change Email?

Right i have an account which i really want to keep given to me, the login is an email adress which is dead.

However the actaul registered email is his ( my m8s ) is there any way i can remove it / change this email adress? without confirming it from his side of the email

 

You have to first get the account locked. Then you must recover it. The email you use to recover it with will be changed when the account successfully unlocks.

There is another way however. If you request an email change, but only enter the authorization codes from the email you want to be registered, you will get a message saying your email will automatically change within 14 days provided the owner doesn't cancel the request.

 

Go to the runescape forums to the support section, say you were hacked and the hacker put an email on.

 

When I changed the email for mine with only email I wanted registered, it took 7 days.

 

Go to account management -> Email preference -> unsubscribe -> you are done

really? and then the account is safely mine? ie recoverys are already my own. ownly this email thats holding me back

 

when i go to request another emaiil, it simply says that its waiting for confirmation from the orgional email and doesnt suggest a 14 day thing?

Can simply unsubscribe to email in account management, email prefferences.

 

If you aren't the original owner of the account, it's not really going to ever be 'safely' yours, the original owner will always be able to recover it again. But to remove the email, you MUST HAVE ACCESS to the email it is registered to,

1. Account Management
2. Email preferences
3. At the bottom of the page it reads, "If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe by clicking here."
4. At the bottom of the page that follows it reads, "If you need us to send new codes to you, click here"
5. Check the inbox of the email that it's regsitered to, and you should have an email titled, "Your Authorization Codes"
6. Simply clink on the link provided in the email, and the registered email will be removed from the account


If you do not have access to the email, but you know the person who does, just submit a request to have the email changed by going to Account Management>Email Registration>Enter the email it is currently registered to (if you know it), and then enter the email you want it to be registered to. Once again, go to your email and check your inbox for an email titled, "Email Address Change Verification". Follow the link and copy the verification code into the space provided. The owner of the email will recieve the exact same email, and once they submit the verification code, the email change will be complete.
If you don't know the email it is registered to, or the person who owns it, the change automatically happens 1 week after you send in a request to have the email change (as described above)
