How to prevent fake vouches

How to stop fake vouches?
How?

Simple.
iTrader.

It's like the feedback system of Ebay.
This will reduce the number of fake vouches.

How?
Because people can't just create fake vouches.
They would have to make new accounts, And threads,
And send in ratings and what not, And may be too much hassle
for someone who might want 10-15 vouches.

iTrader would show up under your post, And you click it,
Then you can submit feedback, Providing you have the thread
you did the deal on, What you bought, And proof you bought it.

You can also code it so you cannot receive vouches from
accounts with the same IP address, Which is what I highly recommend.

Post your thoughts and feedback on how you could make it better.
The iTrader system also allowed negative, and neutral feedback.
Every time you get negative feedback, It reduces your iTrader count,
As if you lost a vouch.

 

I don't like this idea because there are some people that are just jerks who would give bad feedback for the hell of it. For example, I messaged someone who posted on my selling thread earlier, and he said a few lines then "not interested" and I just blocked him. A few minutes later he posted on my thread saying he was going to trade with me but I am a scammer blah blah just because he's a brat.

 

It would be abused too much Imo.

 

ncie dude, this might prevent noobss whp just create another acc and give free vouches, u have to work for a vouch and not get one for free

 

it has some fails though just like FG4 said... and if u get scammed and u post negative feedback... he/she will post negative feedback to u... :S

 

They can't abuse it.
They have to have a thread link to insert the rating,
so you can't give negative feedback because you don't like
the thread, you haven't done a trade to give a rating.

If they post a thread just because they don't like it,
it's abusing and it's a ban.

 

I don't understand how you would be able to tell if a person's done a trade or not.. -_- Please explain??

 

In order to submit a iTrader feedback you have to
have a thread with you saying you bought an account.

Implemented that my other threads suggestion is
put into place, you cant create another account to make
a fake deal.

 

they will not do this,sythe only uses vouches,Sythe will just have to deal with it ^_^

 

Obviously if there vouch is just copied and pasted and not quoted, you know it's fake

 

Yeah, I can imagine, eg, you saying to someone that you were too busy to do training for them and them then giving you negative feedback.

 

Do you know how many people will abuse it? Fake vouches are easy to recognize, and all this idea does is make everything wayy too difficult.

Just with this idea the fake vouches can count towards hurting other people's reputation!

 

Too many impersonators out there, rep would be horrible for most major traders.

For vouches:
1) Person needs to make a new account/have a friend post.
2) Person needs to post it on a thread.
3) Can be abused.

For iTrader:
1) Person needs to make a new account/have a friend rep them.
2) Person needs to link it on a thread.
3) Can be abused.

Seems kinda complicated.
Alot fo the time if someone has fake vouches you can somehwhay tell.
Example - All a persons vouches are from 'leechers' its kinda obvious.

 

iTrader also sticks ads everywhere. We have our fair share of ads right now.

Protip: On a quote click the little icon and it will bring you to the post where the person vouched, if it brings you randomly, it was made up by the owner.
