    How to open an .iso

Alright today I'll show you several ways to open up and use an .iso file.

An .iso file is a file that is commonly used to distribute larage files, and are often used in setups for games, operating systems, and other applications.

    Part 1: Using a cd/dvd

    Step 1:

I assume that you have selected the .iso file you wanted correct? Alright, now we'll need a cd/dvd burner program, and a blank disc.

There are many different programs that you can use. I tend to use poweriso which can be found here.http://www.download.com/PowerISO/3000-2646_4-10439118.html?part=dl-10439118&subj=dl&tag=button Follow the directions to install it and proceed to step 2.

    Step 2:

Alright, now you have poweriso set up, correct? Now open it up and select your .iso file.[

Now insert a blank cd, and hit burn, keep clicking next, and you should be finished in a couple of minutes.

    Part 2: Mounting the image

Personally I like this method better, because you don't need a blank cd and there isn't a limitation on size.

    Step 1:

First you'll need to get daemon tools, there are other programs but I prefer daemon tools. You can download it from here. http://www.disc-tools.com/download/daemon

Next install it and finish up.

    Step 2:

Alright after you restart your computer after the installation right click on the little red lightning bolt in the system tray. [IMG]
Select mount image, and select the .iso file you want and it'll run!

You should add some text on explain what ".iso" means, there are some random text colours all over the shop, try sticking with one or 2 bright colours to make the guide look more neat. Over all nice guide.

    How to open an .iso

A .iso is usually an image (i.e. the contents) of a disk all in one file. Daemon tools is an application which behaves like a CD/DVD drive, and will load up .iso files as if they had been burned onto a disk and put into a real CD/DVD drive.
