Can using a proxy be insecure?

If I use a proxy through FireFox (socks5 to be exact), and I go on a site and enter personal details. Is there any way those details could be intercepted or seen by someone else because I was using the proxy, or does using a proxy not affect that?

    Thanks!

I believe using a Proxy only masks your IP address given to you through your internet provider. I recommend doing a google search to find some more details of what it does tho. Your never anonymous bro.

Actually you can be, very easily, but I'm not at liberty to tell you how to do that. Also, please post in the right section next time.

To answer your question, yes those details could be intercepted. Very easily if someone knows what there doing.

My question is though, can they be intercepted easier because I'm using the proxy, or doesn't the proxy affect it, security-wise?

People can always find u also if u use a proxy.
If u use a proxy it's only harder to find u.
I recommend a VPN if u want to be invisible to other users.

I use Platinum Hide IP, it's a good program that hides your IP.
