How to make userbars - Free tutorial.

Wow, thanks for all the support... answers to questios.. I'll try and answer all
Fireworks CS3 was, yes, the programs I used. I will soon be posting ones using photoshop and other editions of fireworks.
Fireworks is a great program, but unnfortunately not free unless you get the free 30 day trial or are a rebel and get a serial crack code off the internet. It is very possible to perform it on GIMP, and I will show how in another tutorial
Also... to the question about my name... Well that would be telling wouldn't it
And finally, yes I will be making some for orbs and other GFX related pieces, and once again they will be posted here and free for anyone to use.

Hey, I got to the part where you import pictures. I imported it but when i put it on the userbar i'm making the space it takes up turns white. How can I put the original design so that it's not white in some areas?

 

good tutorial but a little tip for better quaility pic's just hit "prt scr" key and then its saved to your clipboard all u have to do is open up ms paint and click edit then paste

 

Gana, just play about with colour pick and fill, or lasoo the object and "cut it out" And although it may not look like it I HAVE actually been using the print screen key in paint... strange that the quality wasn't so good on the pictures though

 

Dans userbar Generator FTW why make it yourself when there is a program that could do it for you all you need is images etc...


on another note userbars are not in any way shape or form "leet" or cool in any way.

You're correct, you can use userbar makers to make them almost instantly, but this guide is showing you how to make them in their purest form, thus giving you more flexibility with designs and helping people understand how they are put together. And thee fact is, that I've seen many people asking on here how to make them themselves, so thought it a good idea to show them. And once again you are right... my userbars are not "cool" and "leet" they are T3h 1337!!!

Very nice! But for those of you who don't know how to do GFX or don't know anything about it I usually use this RSBand site. I forgot the name but I have it in my favorites. It's a good site that has it's own forums plus can make you over 100 different types of user bars in less then 20 seconds.
