Do Jagex not reply to perm bans anymore?

I was banned incorrectly for gold farming, during the period of me being hacked. I was able to recover my account through accounthelp and they proved I was not in control of the account, yet stopped replying to any my e-mails or appeal regarding the perm ban during this period.

is there a phone number, any help?

 

Did you already appeal and say you didn't have access to your account? I vaguely remember that being an option.

I mean the actual appeal itself on the website, not any appeals you made outside of it via other communications.

Jagex's Customer Support is, sadly, woefully bad. It is honestly the worst customer support of a big game company I have ever seen.

Persistence seems to be key to getting them to respond.

 

There was a guy on Twitter who would check over your account's status and helped people occasionally. I've been trying to find the account I'm not sure if it's still used or not but if someone else could chime in that would be great.

 

I think they do still have a Twitter, unfortunately last I heard they're just as unresponsive and robot-like in their responses nowadays.

I swear Jagex's customer support irks me to no end. They appraise themselves too highly when it comes to bans, thinking that they don't make mistakes which is simply not true.

In a game that NEEDS players, it's amazing to me they're so non-responsive when it comes to these type of issues. Having a department that would do as you said above would pay dividends and likely unban lots of mistakenly banned accounts.

Of course, not everyone is innocent, but sometimes I'm literally scared I'm going to get banned for no reason. I shouldn't have that fear with Jagex.

@OP, try to find out what the Twitter handle is, it couldn't hurt any tweeting them.

But if you get a generic "we know our bans are legit" type response, don't be surprised.

 

I appealed the ban in January after recovering it and they haven't replied to 6 seperate e-mails. it's strange because they recovered the account for me confirming it HAD been hacked during this period, but they're just not responding at all. I'm ticked off because its a top 07 account, I gave up a while ago but i've just wrote a ticket which they didn't give you the option of doing a few months back in the hope for a reply.

 

That is really, really strange. I would have assumed it'd be unlocked + unbanned after you proved you were the legitimate owner.

So here we have a case of the ban being applied appropriately, but you getting screwed because you weren't in control.

So you appropriately appeal the ban, they see the mistake, but now aren't responding?

Yup, that sounds like Jagex to me, unfortunately.

 

Yeah i'm confused too, you think it would be logical to rescind it or even simply check the dates cross match and get back to me, rather just not respond. They responded to every e-mail I sent up until i mentioned the perm ban and I receive the same 'your message has been received' e-mail everytime, but nothing.

 

When they receive emails, they send them off to the relevant departments to be looked into. The department that deals with bans and offences is probably not interested. Better to keep mentioning it under the guise of your account being stolen rather than the offence I would guess

 

They are useless.

They no longer check appeals for these offences. Try bugging them on twitter (@JagexSupport) enough and they might give you a personalized response if you're lucky.

 

They don't really care to tell you the truth, as far cast said your best bet would be twitter.

I checked my botting account today, it's been 1 year since i appealed and no answer

 

they dont review goldfarming/botting I'm pretty sure.

 

No chance that they'd give a fuck about ban appeals...

 

They stopped doing that around two years ago.

 

They still haven't replied to my appeal since Aug. 2013

The Twitter Jagex Mod is Mod Beano I believe. I would check him out. He normally replies to you.

You gotta tweet at him every few days until you get a reply usually.

 

Its same for me, there is no chance now to get answer from Jagex.

 

My ban went down as booting/macroing goldfarmer. Took after 2 months I was bored of waiting for my appeal and in my E-Mail they had send me a satisfactory review form. Filled it in negatively and sure enough they got back to me the next day. Can't remember what mod it was but he personally viewed my case and unbanned my account.
