How to Lock a door from the inside?

The best way I think dealing with that... discuss with your parents, then make them understand you and get their support.

 

We've had the conversation before I had a lock on my door but they didnt care or understand, and I just changed it out with one that had a lock while they were out. Even after my mom found that it had a lock it took her a few months to change it to one without a lock again.

 

Just demand privacy. Don't act like a child about it with the whole "but moooooom." Just have an intelligent conversation with her discussing the pro's and con's.

 

I cant remember a time when I had a "but moooooom." conversation. Out of the 3 of us in this house (her, me, and my stepdad) I am the most level headed mature person during an argument. I never raise my voice and stay calm the entire time while they yell and screen and slam doors out of anger shes messed up and has called boys town in on me for going to work right after school and not telling her even though she has a copy of my schedual.

Ive thought about a door stop to stop her from coming in but the hallway that leads to my room is hardfloor while my room is carpeted making it higher then the wood, this leaves nearly an inch of space under my door so any door stop I put in would be easy as hell to push out.

 

A wedge seems to be the best affordable way

 

door stopper would defo do the trick. I wouldnt advise the chair or heavy objects tbh.

 

As I said my door is pretty high compared to most and the end of the wedge would be sticking out quite abit making it easy to push into the room and open the door
