How to install MYBB Forum Software.

Hi.

I'm Going to show you how to install MYBB Forum Software so you can have your own forum.

I'm trying to make this as basic as possible, anything i miss out or you don't understand post and i'll help as much as i can.

Right.


Step 1

First you need to get a host to upload MYBB upto. I chose Host2x with it's free plan, but whichever you choose it doesn't matter.

Step 2

After you've got your host and you've got a plan. You need to download and upload MYBB. So Download MYBB at - http://mybboard.net/downloads

Then Download FileZilla at - http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

Step 3

To upload you need to start Filezilla and connect to your host with your domain, User and Pass.

When you've connected to it you need to find the file upload.

I've changed the file name from upload to Forum, you should change it but if you don't it doesn't matter. So you drag the file upload/Forum to Public HTML and it will start uploading.

Step 4

After it's uploaded you need to install it, so for the link type
www.[B](your Domain)[/B]/Forum/install/index.php

Or if you've left the file as upload put upload instead of Forum.

So you've got the first screen-

Click Next.

Click Next Again

Step 5

when you get this screen-

You need to get a database online.

Create a database and user and add the user to it with all privileges.

Add input them into the Database and user and pass part on MYBB.

Step 6

After step 5 just press next on the next couple of parts until you get to -

So put your forum name and then click next.

You will then get-

This part is for your admin user and pass. Put them all in and your done.

You have now got a Forum, I hope this Guide has helped you.
