How to install and use limewire.

In this guide, you will learn how to download ANY soung absolutly FREE. Now, i bet you guys are thinkin, Hmm.. NOTHING is free, especially SONGS. Well, Just continue reading and you'll find out for yourselves!

Steps.
1. open a new window, and go to www.google.com - type in Limewire download.
click the link that is high-lighted.



2 next, click the "Get Basic" link, [hey, who wants to pay? I did say free, right?]



after you've done that, another window will pop up. click the SECOND bubble, " I will not use Limewire for copyright.. " just to get them off your backs



3. Another window will open, with a bunch of other options on it. we're not worried about the options, so scroll slightly down and click either windows, mac, or linux.
[ i chose windows because i HAVE windows ]



4. now a pop up window will "pop up" and it will have the options "run, save, or cancel." i recomend you just click RUN, because you wont be needing this file for long.
note* after this, if any security warning pop up, click allow this program. Now Limewire is downloading necessary programs, this might take a while.



5. after it has finally downloaded the programs, it will ask you to select a language



6 once you select a language, click ok, then another window will come up. click next, then install. this should only take a short amount of time.. After its installed, another window will come up. click "Finish" and hold on..





CONGRATULATIONS!!! You can now download ANY song for FREE!!

7. Now, hold on, your probably wonder, how do i download songs?! well, just click the "search" button, and then "audio" and type in whatever song you want!



8. finally, now, to play your songs, you click the "library" tab, and, well, there you have it!

Nice guide, songs are the only thing Limewire is good for.

 

Pretty good guide, although installing LimeWire is a simple task you explain it pretty throughly.
Some of the steps could be left out though.

 

I need help.

I've known how to install it for a while but when I get to bring it up, and when I search a song it says:

Limewire is currently connecting to te Network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected tot he Network.

Ive un installed and tred dozens of times.

Any solutions?

All that basically means is limewire is NOT connected to the INTERNET. you can fix this by clicking at the top of the windows; file>connect and your problem should be solved.

 

I went to the File and it has the Option of Dis-connect but not connect

 

well then check your internet connection. I don't know what else to tell you.

I'll help peeps with putting Limewire music on your iPods, because I can

Select a song, or group of songs (Single-click one, then hold CTRL and select others, or hold Shift and click the bottom to select all between) and hit "Add to Playlist."
Once you have ALL songs you want in a playlist, save on DESKTOP, this is important. Otherwise save on My Documents, don't save in standard folder. Open iTunes, have your iPod ready for importing, and import the playlist from the folder you specified, and voila. Import library to iPod, and there you have it.

Also as an extra you can recieve limewire Pro by just searchign for it in limewire basic . what I did, faster downloads more protection.

I'm not diggin' this guide because I disagree with limewire's way to distribute music on a mass scale, as an aspiring record label owner. If you're going to distribute music widely, make sure you have EVERYTHING. Not the mainstream garbage that everyone watches, listens to, and downloads. Limewire is a garbage program asking to get viruses and asking to get terrible quality music etc.
