How to get fix DEEP game disc scratches!

Hello guys,
Flipsii here with a trick that will hopefully help you run those discs with deep scratches in them.

Hopefully, your game will be working in about 11-15 Mins.


My friend gave me his old GOW disc and it had two mega circular scratches around the center of the disc- he said it only went through chapter one of the game and only played specific multi player maps. Instead of going to EB Games or Gamestop and buying a kit this is what i thought up:


Steps:
1. submerge the disc in cold water while the faucet is still running
2. Spray the armor all tire foam on... DO NOT RUB IN!
3. Let it dry and if there is any excess foam -gently rub off with shirt or kleenex.
4. Then lastly repeat step 1. Then dry with t-shirt.



I went into my garage and was looking for some sort of abrasive, for those of you who have tried to TOOTHPASTE trick and it didn't work try ARMOR ALL TIRE FOAM.

Hope your discs work, I repaired my deep scratch GOW 1 disc and my Halo 3 disc.

I wouldn't recommend the that you use the toothpaste "Trick" , I've tried it on numerous discs and in more ways than one it can worsen the condition of your disc. My GOW disc did stop working again - Probably because the Abrasive wore off. Check your local library and ask if they have a disc cleaner. I sent mine to them and they fixed it and it only cost me $1. I have a CD kit called, Disc DoctorX - I cannot find it on the internet because I got the Kit ALONG time ago. That also works great (My Halo 3 Disc). Thank you for viewing my guide and I hope I helped. Should apply for UE?

 

I'll keep that in mind, I have quite a few discs in a shitty state.

 

This would be a fantastic guide, if you expand on it some more. Try adding different techniques on how to bring out those nasty scratches.

Example;

• Toothpaste - Rubbing toothpaste and warm water over a CD can help bring out scratches.
• CD Kits - Kits that are designed specifically for repairing scratched CD's
