RWT profit and taxes law

i am currently a student in germany but not from germany , and i am planning to do some osrs RWT on the side for some profit , do you guys pay taxes on the money you make from osrs ? does the government follow my paypal account/bank account and check for how much money i am making ? what happens if i don't pay taxes ? is there anyway that i can do to avoid taxes like sending my brother in an other country money on his paypal then he sends it back to me on my bank account with ( family support money ) ?

 

Depends if you earn over the minimum threshold, in the UK its £11,581, something you probably won't make anytime soon from rwt. Otherwise you're fine I think.

 

Regardless of if you hit this threshold you still have the declare it. (I think).

 

USA has a similar law, I think it’s a VERY low threshold. Lots of people don’t report extra income. For example if you shovel snow for some folks most people wouldn’t report this. However I would look up Germany’s laws specifically.

Yup - I do some occasional part time work on the weekends and don't declare it, all bout that £££.

 

You could possibly use your brother’s PayPal email for RWT payments, then have him send the money (sounds like your family already sends you money).

For tax purposes you are allowed a certain amount for “gifts” iirc, but I’m not sure if that is supposed to be reported.

 

Or you can go to your tax office and ask really nice.

If you're seeking advice for tax evasion then this might not be the forums you're searching for. You're better of asking proffessional help from a financial lawyer or an accountant.

 

Not sure on that, however if you are audited you will have to prove where those deposits came from. Hence my idea to use your brother’s PayPal

I doubt anyone ever pays tax/notices the court about their incomes unless as said before it’s alot or you’re in need of something from them such as insurance.

 

is it good idea to send my brother who is in Malaysia my profit on paypal , then he sends it back to me via bank transfer declaring it as family finance support or he sends it back to through westerunion and keep it cash ? german taxes are insane like 40% or even 50% thats crazy af , as engineer here your yearly salary is like 50k euro but you only get 28k... thats crazy

 

Just look up the penalty for tax fraud and decide if you think it's worth the risk for however many % you're "saving".

 

In USA its $600 before you have to file a W-9/1040/form of that sort, but I don't claim lmao. mainly for political reasons, but i won't get into that. don't get me wrong, it's nice not having 27.1% of my profits taken from me, but yeah mainly a political stance.
