How to fix RROD on xbox

THIS IS REAL​

simply get 4 towels unplug the harddrive. take the cd/game out of console. rap the 4 towels around the console and start it up let it run for 15-20 minutes. let it overheat it will either shut off by its self or just unplug after 20 minutes. when the system over heats it resolders the solders in the console.

 

I highly doubt it, when I had the RROD I took it in and it is to do with a few parts that overheat and just die, therefore rapping "Wet Towels" around your xbox will not make it work again.

Just send it to fix on microsoft.... i sent it and 3 days after they sent me a new xbox and a free 1 month of xbox live...

 

Not everyone lives as close to Microsoft as you do.

 

I'm pretty sure this does work - My friend used a different method using safety pins I believe, not sure on the details of what he did though lol.

 

this seriously does work, i have tried it my self and i got from a xbox360 fan site. but, if you have the time to send it in to Microsoft thats fine but, alot people can't wait and this is a great alternative

It does fix your xbox, but only temporarily! In the long run, it will cause more harm than good. If would heavily reccomend not doing this if you want to fix your 360.

 

Yes it is good for temp fix but will increas the chance of a ur hard drive crashhing and that is not covered under warrente

 

Sure, that will solder your connector back, but it overheats the entire thing and will most likely destroy your Xbox anyway. Why not just take a soldering gun and solder it back yourself? It's just as easy as stuffing a few towels into your Xbox, it has a better chance of it working afterward, AND it won't fry your 360. The towel method is such a dumb method.

i used to do this towel trick for a few monthsbut overall my xbox was getting worse, then towel trick wont work at all so i sent it to microsoft... they've had it 2 week.. should get it back shortly.. bt stilll... its a good method until you can be arsed to send it to microsoft

 

Yes it does work, when mine "Red Ringed" i called Microsoft immediately, and had to wait for the shipping and stuff. During the wait i used the towel trick.
It lets your XBox work for around 8 hours, and then it messes up again. I recommend only doing this 1 or 2 times, because if you do it too much it can cause fatal damage to the XBox, and Microsoft will not fix it because it won't be under the warranty.

 

I just bought another xbox 360, but the towel thing does work for awhile, but it just gets broken again.

 

in the long run i think it's good to do until you get the white box Microsoft sends you

 

you have to send the one you have to them before they'll send you another one...

 

as i was saying you could still play your xbox until mircosoft sends the box to your house it takes 4 days
