how to fix lcd problem?

just got this hp L1908w 19in widescreen, and certain things on my monitor wont work, for example im unable to click certain icons, and drop down menus, i can keep clicking all day it wont do anything, im using latest drivers and im using the regular cord, havent got a dvi cord yet if that help, hp is sending me a new monitor but i have a feeling it isnt the monitor, maybe theres something you can tell me to do in some settings to try to fix?

also say im trying to move a window i click to drag, but soon as i click it just maximizes/minimizes the window instead.


well, one person told me could be because im not using dvi, another said it sounds like a mouse issue, but its only certain type of stuff i click that wont work, if it were to be mouse, wouldn't it be messed up in general? and mouse/everything worked fine till i switched to lcd

It might not be your monitor. I would try the dvi cord.

DVI is of superior quality, use that.

The monitor is not the problem though

well, just found out i have a $230 monitor with no dvi outlet lol.. stilll the quality is fucking nice, it looks as good as my friends and he has a way better lcd and using dvi. also me and this guy are thinking its cause interference between the lcd and my wireless mouse
