how to differentiate scammer from legit?

ive been wondering how to tell a scammer from a legit?? any suggestions

 

Just use a MM and you should be fine. I never go first in trades unless I know the people or see they have more than 10 vouches. Just do your homework and find out about the person before you do a trade.

 

Agreed, but it is extremely difficult to tell a scammer from a legitimate trader.

 

but usually MM uses paypal, since ive been scammed through paypal. i will never trust paypal anymore. money transfer or western union would be good.

 

It's very easy actually, just need experience and use common sense.

Otherwise just use an MM and 2 minutes to run a quick background check on the person and you'll be safe (check his vouches to see if they're legit, check if he's ban evading, check his threads for negative comments, google his email to see if they match with other accounts, etc...).

 

Just assume everyone is out to scam you.(Including MM's) It will make it easier for you to scratch off anyone who is really out to harm you. Research everyone as much as you can, i mean go stalker on them. Vouches are worthless, it's all just a popularity contest. The best thing to do is go with your gut in a situation where you have no idea. Hopefully your gut isn't an idiot.

 

If you want proof and they wont show in game, if they wont use MM, trust me you can tell once you get scammed over probably 40 times.

Most scammers wanna get to the point and scam you.

Ex/ You say: Hi
He says: Hi i dont go first and dont use mm's you interested?

Something like that lol

some scammers are actually pretty subtle but if they have no vouches they can b a forum addict and still scam u
just friendly info from leecher to leecher.
i no longer trade on sythe because of the masses of scammers around thow.
