How to create a Website. [Not Freewebs]

i wouldn't really suggest v bullitien. i would suggest phpbb forums, they are easy to set up, free and has just as many features as v bullitien.

Quite an interesting guide, although it is quite basic... it gets the job done. I believe when using http://dot.tk it is only a re-directory address, not a permanent. Other than that, nice job. 8/10.

great guide for creation. would be nice to see either updated with how to customize the website.

 

That you can do on your own. thats why i didn't add it. it's your website you customize it how ever you want.

 

Ahaha, you just showed us how to buy a domain and what sites you recommend. I show you how to edit the files, upload them via FTP etc. How is that "not much more detailed". The only reason I didn't show how to make a website was because it common sense. There's a little button that says "Customize your website". If this is what passes for a "good guide" in the new UE, you guys are gonna die out quickly.

anyway, i made 2 website's last nite, adding pictures to them and animation is rather difficult... but other than that it is a very good starter guide for websites.

Thanks man, i'm waiting to see it too, but like you said, i don't want it just to flash, i want it to show that i'm a part of the team and i love helping people. and the error is probably because its an invalid picture file, if not.. try a different image hosting site.

Honestly kid, learn to take criticism. Also, people post in that section all the time. I was a pretty respected UE, so I think I know what I'm doing. Also, I should just report you for lulz, and dampen what little chances you have left of joining the UE.

 

2 comments and suggestions:

1) Google adsense does not cost money? I happen to have a website of my own and Google adsense does not cost you any money. I got them removed because a computer in my house with a similar IP address clicked on of my ads, they thought I was trying to scam them, etc etc Google doesn't let me use them anymore...
But until they got removed, they were both free and ok money. I was up to 15.00 in a few weeks, and once you get to 100.00 they send you a check.

2) I would not suggest godaddy for hosting, I use them and although my website is always up and uploading content is really easy, the price I paid for 1 year is a rip-off. I paid about $60.00 to keep my website up for a year with i think 300gig of bandwidth monthly, I think you can get better hosting elsewhere. Otherwise its relatively reputable.

Definitely buy domain names at godaddy as the domain name itself is very cheap there.
