How to be good at college?

Just make sure you go to class, turn your assignments in on time, make friends with people in your classes, take notes, and don't slack off too much. The independence you get after high school can really mess with your studies. Stay focused and look ahead at the long-term goal.

 

How to be good at school? I mean it should be self explanatory.

 

Treat university like it's your job.

You may hear things like "spend two hours outside of class for each hour you spend inside of class", or something similar. The bottom line though is that this is your job.

In academia, turning in an assignment late [usually] won't cause you to fail the course. Not turning it in at all [usually] won't cause you to fail the course.

In the real world, not turning in the work you were assigned to do by X date...that's your job man. You don't just lose points, if you're lucky you only lose money/time/respect. More often than not, you're out a job. Not only out a job, but you'd better not put down that supervisor as a reference; you'll never get another job that way.

You'll see your classmates wasting time, not taking things seriously, etc. Those are the same people you'll see sitting in the lobby also waiting to be interviewed. You'll be hired, and they'll end up down the street making a fraction of your salary, and very likely experiencing a fraction of your job satisfaction.

No real secrets to that question:
* Listen / go to classes
* Try to review what you've been taught before going back to the same class again
* Exercice from time to time, the more the better obviously
* Don't play while studying... even if it's afk, half of your brain will be distracted (ok this statement is not accurate but you'll definitely be focusing on 2 things at once)

 

try your hardest and stay away from the wannabes and show off - they will waste ur time and you will be behind work
