How to avoid having your name sniped

Decided to make this after hearing about an apparent spate of names being stolen.

I haven't actually tested it legitimately yet (i.e transferring real names between accounts) but it should still have the exact same speeds (if names are available literally straight after you change it).

I'd like some questions answering in this topic: are names made available literally immediately after the previous owner changes their name twice (Within half a second)? Is 0.4 seconds fast enough (lol)? Would there be a market/interest for this type of tool?

EDIT: To clarify, once the name on the primary account (that's the name you're trying to transfer) is changed, it took 0.45 seconds to put it on the secondary account. I made a typo in the code.

 

This would be awesome if it worked. Have you tested with an actual name? Not a rare name, but a name like Rocketsam32 just to test the speed. If you could post a screenie of that, with the time it takes, that would be very interesting. And I will send a pm about the availability of a name after changing.

 

Not yet. I finished it about 30 minutes ago and have been polishing it since then. I'll probably test it properly in a few hours, as I will have to buy some bonds first and I don't like spending money needlessly.

When I do end up testing it out, I'll most likely record it and post a video in this thread.

 

I would talk to Folt, he would know how long it takes a name to get sniped as he has been selling names for years and has a transfer guide.

 

I don't know much about the name selling industry, if you will, around here but seems like an interesting concept if these names being taken is a problem.

 

Seems to be working fine, although I can't test it extensively as it'd require me to purchase a load of bonds.
