How to ask a girl to prom?

I know I'm gonna get stupid answers but, I want someone's opinion on how I should ask a girl to prom. I'm shy as fuck and don't know how haha

 

It depends. Is this a girl you know really well? A random girl?

Honestly, just go for it. Ask her casually and directly in a non-weird way like @Heads447 suggested. You have nothing to lose - worst case is she says no and you're no worse off than you are now; if anything, you'll have closure. Plus someone else might ask first, so don't wait around!

Then do something you know she'd like. You don't need to be extravagant, but it's always an option (kid at my old school had a helicopter land as part of asking his girlfriend to prom, it was a little ridiculous).

I'd go simple route with some cheesy thing that she'll enjoy involving something more personal than monetary.

He safely one-upped everyone else, but it became quite a competition at our school on who could do ridiculous shit to ask someone out.

Another option is school announcements, placing signs where all the cars drive by, and so forth.

Likes soccer, then perhaps get a soccer ball and use sharpie and write over it with "do you want to go to prom" with one word in each hexagon. Could further incorporate it into a scavenger hunt if you wanted (or anything else).

You also have to find out whether or not she would like to be asked out in front of people as well.. I'd suggest asking one of her friends to help you find that out. Some girls I know would hate to be asked in front of everyone while others would love it. Also if its a girl you're looking to get to know after prom and stuff then I would really think of something but if you're just trying to smash after prom then ask her the way heads suggested.

 

I'd put some feelers out first. Ask a couple mutual friends to see what they think. They'll either encourage you, discourage you, or let you know she's interested in going with someone else.

 

Yeah i personally belive that if you just go drop the "Wanna go to prom with me" bomb on her without ever talking to her before she will most likely say no. Theres many things to consider as well. Is this girl popular? Will she get asked by other people? If you actually know the girl well and you two are friends then i'd say just go for it girls dig confidence. I would also say you hurry up with it because someone else might invite her before you and its just to get that out of the way and stop worrying about it.

 

Be smooth with the approach. Nothing dorky or fucking stupid. Just be respectful and up front. If she doesn't Want to go ask her friends...

I would honestly just take a hobby she likes and incorporate it in how you ask her out. Maybe make a custom jersey that has her soccer jersey on it with the words "prom?" where the last name goes.

 

Don't go to prom. It's all hype and is actually very low on the ranked list of life experiences you should be looking forward to.

 

Focus on pros, not the cons.

 

If you know her well, just ask her. If you're trying to ask her to go as more than a friend, then it would be better that you aren't friends, or at least well acquainted with one another. There is a good chance your friendship could be ruined. To play it safe, ask as a friend, and try flirting a bit and see where it goes from there.

 

its all about the timing, ask him when theres not many people around and the vibe is good. Dont make it too big of a thing, dont make things akward. Just asks him: hey by the way do you want to go to the prom with me? And if he doesnt, its all good no worries. On to the next man.
