How should I train up a melee account?

    Hey,

I'm wanting to make my own Max-Main for staking. I'm going to be making it from scratch and care not about other levels other than max melee.

I believe from 70-70-70 I should be DH'ing at NMZ?

What should I be training on until then?
Is DH the best way to go?
What quests do I need to do so I don't have to pay to use other peoples dreams?

Thanks in advance for advice. ^_^

    You'll need to do:

    Vampire Slayer
    Tree Gnome Village
    Fight Arena
    Grand Tree/Mountain Daughter
    Lost City

You'll be able to host yourself. Before 70/70/70, I just train with brine sabre at bandits until 60 attack then use obby sword/berserker necklace till 70 attack. Then, I switch to a Sara sword. Good luck!

Where you say Grand Tree/Mountain Daughter do I just pick one of those?
I'm assuming to pick MTD as thats what most of the dream hosts seem to advertise

Using the MTD boss will give you slightly higher xp/hr, so I'd go with that. The black demon from Grand Tree does give more points though.

Mtd is faster xp because the demon has more defence.

    Yes, you pick either or.

I would just max out and stay at NMZ.

I recommend NMZ. I'm at like 94/99/92. It's great xp per hour. I just pay the guys/bots to invite me into a NMZ game with the monsters I want.

Yeah, those payments add up quite a bit though,
I think it'll be easier too if I just do the right quests and only those. :)

Yeah but this only works if you plan ahead, most players who just play the game for fun already have so many other quests completed

How should I train up a melee account?

Start off by getting 36 woodcutting, 31 crafting, 15 agility (+ summer pie boost for mountain daughter) OR 20 agility (+summer pie boost for grand tree) and 43 prayer to be able to do the following quests:

    - waterfall quest
    - vampire slayer
    - fight arena
    - tree gnome village
    - grand tree (higher points/hr) OR mountain daughter (slightly higher XP/hr)

I, for one, don't think MTD is that much higher XP/hr than demon, and demon gives more points/hr meaning you make more money (back) over time. So, I'd suggest you to go with demon, but feel free to do otherwise.

After you've done these quests you'll end up at around 45 attack and 30 strength. From here I would usually just go train at rock crabs until around 70/70/70. Don't forget to upgrade to the best possible weapon at your level, brine sabre being the best @ 40 attack and obby sword + berserker necklace being the best @ 60 attack.

Then, once you've reached 70 base melee stats, you get to choose your method of doing NMZ. Here's a few:

    - dharok w/ absorbtion potions > requires very high concentration, low cost, highest XP
    - guthans > requires very little concentration, low cost, low XP
    - ss w/ prayer potions > requires little concentration, high cost, high XP

I usually just go with the latter because it enables me to afk while training. If you feel like watching your client 24/7, go with dharoks, as it's the fastest XP possible. Though, you'll have to do a few extra quests for that method. :p

I could go into much, much further detail (inventory setups, rock cake guides, bla bla bla) but I'm sure Google is just as good at explaining these things than I am.

Hope this helps, lmk if you need help w/ anything else!

Dhing would be the best experience if you have no intentions of getting slayer up on the account.

You can also semi-afk, just drink all your absorber potions and then just pray flick on rapid heal once every min to stay at 1 hp.
