How profitable is IRC gambling for a host these days?

I was thinking to invest somewhere like DDYCE or PlayerSwap, how profitbale is it these days for the host?

 

From my experience in the last 2-3 months it seems that the frequency of bets is unfortunately very low, the main way the hosts make money is from old bettors/friends from pre eoc and older times. I wouldn't say that it is really something worth your time, as these bettors bet huge and if they win they will disappear for weeks. As a host you are either up a lot, or down loads, as far as I can tell.

 

I'm a host in Cora Dyce. Its not consistent at all.
But sometimes we make 60-200m over a 2hour period.

I would go for it if you're a gambler

seriously man, staking for friends was the last good thing this game had to offer.

 

It's only profitable if you actually try to get people to bet. Most hosts just sit there and wait for bettors to come to them, and, not surprisingly, sitting at your computer staring at your screen doesn't make you any money.

 

I used to think hosting was super afk and RS was great and easy money and all that, but since quitting, I look back on it as a huge mistake. I really encourage you to move on. If you have a few hundred bucks to spend, put it towards some other goal. Invest, flip xyz (where xyz doesn't drain your soul), or whatever, and just be happier away from the game.

 

But that's how it's supposed to work, right? hosts waiting for bettors? and whoever is incharge of the advertising should get betters in?

I know, although I don't regret hosting/swapping while it was good. But now I'd rather look into cryptocurrency flipping. I idled in some of the gambling IRCs and my god the situation is terrible.
