I'm 17 and I tried smoking weed a couple of weeks as my friend does it and I wanted to see what was so good about it. I tried and I did get high but to be honest it isn't really my thing and I won't be doing it again as I believe it's a waste of money.

 

15 when I tried drinking, just didn't think the benefits outweigh the harms. I also tried smoking weed and just didn't care for it.

I probably had my first drink of alcohol at like 8 or 9. Took my first percocet at 13 which was the first drug I'd ever done. I had my first hit of weed soon after.

It's fine if you haven't done drugs before, but don't exaggerate and talk about how bad they are for you. I mean really if you haven't done them before then how would even know anything? By what your parents tell you, or what you heard in health class, or the anti-drug commericial you saw on tv? I can bet that a lot of you will have a different view on it when you're older.

 

I've never done any drugs before. Although when I legally can I'd probably have some alcohol.

also i find it funny how people think weed is bad, its alot better than alcohol and cigarettes which everybody seems to be okay with

 

I've only smoked cannabis at the age of 16. I stopped shortly after. I do enjoy the occasional joint once a year however.

I still remember that it was 2 days after my 15th birthday that I tried weed, also my first time having beer with the intention to get drunk (I'd tasted it when I was younger) I remember liking the taste when I was really young but I hated it this time, didn't finish one beer lol, but beer is nothing to me now. Tried shrooms for the first time last summer, still haven't popped a pill but I'm not 100% hesitant, just waiting for one that comes from a source that I trust and I've done some research on (the drug).

 

Take this from someone who plans on studying chemistry as a career path: alcohol is a drug. It is more harmful than many illegal drugs. First things first: the masses are not educated on the use of illegal drugs; they have a pack mentality and just say "drugs are bad." For this reason also, people become addicts and overdose when they buy illegally. Many illegal drugs also have the likely outcome of either killing the user, or ruining their life, and these are the ones that SHOULD be illegal. Many others however are far less dangerous than our dear chemical CH3CH2OH (Ethyl Alcohol). Alcohol just happens to be a social pastime, as is smoking tobacco (though it's dying out due to research and awareness of carcinogens and harmful long-term effects).

Now I personally wouldn't advocate smoking weed every day. It's stupid to say that it DOESN'T effect you. It can change things within your brain for the worse, and thus use of it should be regulated and / or the masses should be educated about it. For most people, smoking weed once in a while will do absolutely NOTHING to them. For the other poor unfortunates, as a minority, it can bring out underlying mental conditions. It's a risk you either are or are not willing to take, but to be honest I don't think people should post things like the aforementioned without at least knowing what they're talking about.

 

130. I will never do drugs, my occupation would start to slow down, and eventually get ruined.
