Aquarium / Fish Log (SHARE YOUR AQUARIUMS) *UPDATED*

I'm going to sink a lot of time into this because it is very interesting watching these fish interact, and I want to remember how things were at the beginning when the fish grow much larger.

Wow these guys have gotten big.

What happened to the crayfish?
I loved the Electric Blue Crayfish, but he was too aggressive to go into any of the tanks I had. I started seeing cuts in my oscar's fins so I moved him out. So, I bought a 20 Gallon Tank on FB Marketplace and put him and some snow white crayfish. At the end of the highlight portion of the video, You can see he kept up his shenanigans and decided he was going to fuck up the white crayfish that I had him with. This is after he already ate the other blue crayfish I had bought. Eventually, I ended up just giving him to my cousin who has a couple of freshwater tanks. When he left, he was easily over 4 inches long and had massive claws.

What happened to the Ornate Bichir?
I went to a LFS (local fish store) and purchased a larger Endelcheri bichir...



I thought it would be fine since they are the same species and it wasn't that much larger than my ornate. I was wrong. I couldn't find him for a couple of days and I figured he was just hiding. Nope, I found another Lapradei Bichir(can be seen in the video, I had two of them), in the mouth of the endelcheri. I was able to tug him out of the mouth and he was fine, but the next day he was gone. I eventually had to put him in my girlfriend's tank since I had a $130 Moray Eel in there(It was a baby version of the eel seen attacking the goldfish in the video, they are very expensive). The endelcheri then ate all 13 of her fish in a couple of days (felt bad about that).

All in all the fish pictured above ate $240 in fish. lol oops.


So far i'm down about $400 in fish, but it's been a ton of fun and it's just money lol.

This reminds me when I was little, I was always fascinated by aquariums and wanted one for myself. I remember my uncle having one for years and it was the most peaceful thing to just sit and watch early in the morning when it was quiet. I'll keep an eye on this thread! Might tempt me into investing in my own little setup

 

I really wish more people would post some aquarium pictures lol. I love looking at these setups. I don't have one personally but I can spend quite some time enjoying the setup my sister has when I'm over at her place. I think my favorite out of the ones posted so far is the Tiger Oscar by @ChinaNumbaWon

Nice lil setup. I have a Texas and Oscar cichlid as well. My Oscar is about 5 years old now and is massive!!
