Thoughts on the new weapons/monsters, the new area, etc.

I personally have done a few pure wars with the staff, it's quite fun to be able to use a strong ass magical attack as well as have access to your ancients spellbook.

 

I'm omw there now its epic money making sht , the tokens sell over price on g.e

 

not tried it, but i have all stats possible to try it, just dont have the effort lol

 

What exact stats do you need? My slayer is 77, is that high enough?

 

i'm maxed mage/defence/85 dung but low slayer. Can i still get decent money there?

 

Yup, tho prices will eventually all go down so its best to go now.

 

There's already Storm of Arma, I guess the Polypore is for everyone else?

 

It's amazing with pking + veng.

Honestly, probably the best mage update to date imo.

 

Can somebody please go into detail for me about the new updates to magic (ones concerning the combat triangle and wilderness), and what the new staff does?

I am logging into RS now but am a little behind the update and I have heard about this new staff, a new food for PKers, and some other shit that I should probably learn about ASAP. If somebody could provide me some direct information it would be appreciated!

 

The new armour is the best ingame but it only lasts 3hr combat and disapeers, but its only 11m atm im sure it will drop 50%

 

The new armour is pretty unbalanced. Hope they at least nerf a bit of the melee and a lot of the magic defence.

 

After you run out of charges, can a pure recharge those charges themselves or is the staff sellable without the charges, and then inevitably purchase a new (fully charge) staff?

 

It decays back to the polypore stick that you can either sell or recharge. You can also recharge an used staff by refilling it with spores and fire runes. 80 farming of your own or an assist are required to recharge.

 

I've heard that currently you make bank off of this but I think as always people will figure out that its not good and the items will crash. Or are they really good. Havent looked at stats I just know that one has a massive mage absorb.

 

Staff is nice because you can use vengeance with it.

 

Anybody know anything about the "new food for PKers" that they released with this update? I've been hearing alot about the staff/armour today but nothing about this new mushroom or whatever it is.

 

Heals like 90 LP or somewhere around that and has a chance to give a boost effect or something like that.

 

The hits with the staff are actually insane, when using a maximum mage bonus, it can hit over 500s. Shiiit.

OT: The spell is very fast too, aswell as strong. I bought myself a staff for a solid 2M

 

Yeah, it's worth 7m "ge price" but it goes for about 2m.
