I got a temporary mute yesterday because I tried to defend myself against another user that was consistently harassing me. Later that same day, I noticed that nobody was responding to my PM's or fc messages so I checked my "account status" (since OS:RS cant be bothered to tell you if you're muted or not) and, sure enough, I had received a temporary mute.
So, from what I could gather online, when Jagex states that " Your account will be unmuted again in less than 1 day, or earlier if you submit a successful offense appeal. " They really mean that - if your account has been muted it will be unmuted within a day if you submit an appeal. However, upon submitting an appeal for my most recent temporary mute I got my appeal denied (I also submitted one for my mute last year as it gave me the option).
So, Sythe, did I really just get muted for an entire year for only my second offense? Has anyone else had experience with this?
