How Long For The Name Change Icon To Disappear?

however long you had your previous name is how long it stays. Say I changed my name to Joe, then I changed my name to Bob. It would say Last Known As: Joe for 30 days.

 

in my experience first name change takes way longer than second/third name changes

This is how it works. You first have to change your name for the first month, and then when you can change it again (in another 30 days) you change the name to the exact same name. After waiting for this second 30 day grace period, the icon will finally go away (I am saying this from experience).

 

k so say i changed my name to 'jimmy' yesterday, in 28 days ill be able to change it again, am i able to change it to 'jimmy' again(so the exact same), and it will see it as a name change, and i wont be able to change my name again for another 28 days? but this means it will disappear?
