How long do you think the game has left?

Personally I feel when the 20 something year olds go towards their 30's is when the game will truly decline. I'm thinking most of us use bonds to get membership, and if you only have time to log in once in a while.. Why bother? Enjoy it while it lasts lads.

Probably 5 years or something everyone playing now has since the beginning it's not getting many new players

 

Prob in a few Years. To much gold in the game , most people just play Rs for gambling and shit. When gold crash people would prob stop playing it.

 

Game truly needs a heavy goldsink atm

 

The content they add is good but nobody has time to grind this game like you're supposed to

 

I reckon it'll make 2030 if they dont add any bullshit to the game and bring out more gold sinks as i read somewhere there is too many money earners and not enough gp getting lost out the game.

- Huge gold sinks added

5-10 Years left IMO. The game DESPERATELY needs a huge gold sink.

Definitely more than 5 years....
even if it’s in a declined state, I think people will still be playing 10 years from now.

 

I think it has around 8-10 years if Jagex can fix a few things such as bots/goldfarming/gambling bots at ge and if they can continue to poll every big update in the future.

 

Gosh I wish they would do something about the gambling bots....

 

Problem I see is that the playerbase won't grow.. If our generation stops playing they're finished

 

I hope a while grew up playing so hopefully another 10+ years

 

Depends if the J-Mods stick to their roots and only add content that the majority of the player base votes on. Also as others have stated in the thread, need a gold sink also. I personally believe it will be around for a significant time with a steady playerbase (5+ years)

 

I feel like you can argue it either way. It's essentially 80% Pre EOC now. For years I've wished they were able to have active running servers of every era of the game. I think it would have worked 5-7 years ago, I doubt it would be worth their time and money now.

Anyways, I see it running another 10 years or so before the release OSRS V2 and wipe all of the added content.
