How identifiable is weed?

I was just wondering how easy it is to distinguish between different kinds of weed. If I were to post a picture of some, would any of you be able to tell me what type it is/how strong it is?

It's a little more difficult than that, due to the vast number of strains.

i've had some pretty looking buds that were dank but didn't get me that high

and i've also had some ugly raggedy ass buds that were insane

 

No, it's all by color. But from what I hear purple is very strong.

 

i would just look for the amount of different crystal thc on it. also the color of the actual weed.

You can tell a lot about it just by the smell/appearance. For instance:

"Stress/Mids" (The lower grade) appears almost "dirtier", where as the "Kush/Chronic" is "Normally" a lot more attractive to look at. The smell is a lot stronger, and in my opinion, it also smells sweeter. Almost tickles the nose to smell.

 

Reggie is easy to tell.. and most kush is easy to tell. Btw if your gonna smoke PLEASE buy kush! Smoke high grade and not shitty low/mid!

 

Forgot to add.. some kush crumble, stick, smell, packed and some you need a grinder to grind up!

 

I'm going to go ahead and say that I am completely new to this and am clueless to the different variations, such as 'reggie' 'kush' etc.

It's illegal here in the UK so I've never really been educated about it.. I'll take a picture of a small amount of it shortly and see what you can tell me from what you see.

EDIT: Forgot to add that it's quite hard to come by, so I can't really be picky about what I buy.

 

Honestly that all depends on who you know. It can be hard to come by anywhere if you don't know the right people.

 

Where i used to live in Scotland weed/hash was not very hard to come by, alot of people were smoking it including most of my friends.

 

Sounds raciest but blacks bro they are always selling. Don't get ripped tho! Less/no seeds= best, feel the weight of the bag, smell it. Mid grade: Nickle(half a blunt 1.5g)= $5, $10 for kush (high grade), 10-20 for a dime (3g a blunt), 20 sac, half ounce= 40, ounce=80... 16 ounces=1 pound, 2.8 pounds=1 kilo. I sell/smoke so I know this

 

These prices/weights aren't correct everywhere. Location, quality, and supply affects all of them. You can't just generalize.

 

I could give you a general idea how good it is just by the looks. I'd need to smell it, feel it, and of course smoke it to give you a more accurate guess. Putting a name to it is hard unless you've had the specific weed a lot and know how to tell your shit apart from any other shit out there..

Anyway, I'd like to see the pictures you're talking about.

 

Ehh, I imagine it's very different as I'm from the UK. I know that here for £10 ($16) you will usually get between 1.2-1.4g. How does that compare to what you get in the US etc?

I'll take a picture now, however a fair warning there isn't very much left at all, so you won't have much to work with.

 

A 3 gram blunt? $80 ounce? Sad that I can tell you haven't been within 100 yards of marijuana by reading 1 post.

Post a picture of the bud you are dealing with. There is a lot you can tell by the looks but there is also a lot you can tell by the smell/taste etc. I can help you.

 

Where im living in the UK £20 will get you 1.5-2.0g of high grade (supersonic cheese, purple haze, amnesia, chronic), where as standard is on at a solid £10 a gram, but then i live in a area that is affluent for grade and no one can get standard. Generally speaking the quality of the bud can be told by smell, the stronger the better (Doesn't always work like that, ive had really stinky strains do nothing too me), appearance also plays a big part, generally the more "crystal-ly" something looks the stronger it will be (Again though, this isnt set in stone) and the moisture you can feel in the bud, its good to have it feeling sticky but dry, if its dank it can be more difficult too smoke and can side burn like a bitch. Post a picture and i might be able to help more..

 

Well I tried to take a picture, but my camera isn't working and my phone camera quality is too poor to make out any kind of detail. I'm not sure how else I could get a picture except from using my webcam, which is also a very low quality camera

Anyway, it's a nice green colour with a few small light brown 'strips' in it. I can't really describe it, I will try and borrow a friends camera or something and post back in the next couple of days if I have any success. Thanks for trying to help all who posted

 

Ounces where I'm at are around anywhere from $100-200, I don't know how good your quality is though.
