How has runescape damaged your life?

Wasted $1200 staking lol other than that I trained all in the wild before it was removed so I had fun playing it, spent 2 years getting 99 str pking and 6 months with bots getting maxed... Quitting was the best thing I ever did

 

The only thing I could really think of is I probaly spent time playing when I could have been studying. So runescape pmaybe made me get lower grades at school not that it really bothers me. Friends and social life was always a higher priority even when I was highly addicted to the game.

 

Has Damaged 5 Years Of My Life !

 

made me stay home training for hours and having no life lol

 

Gained a lot of weight playing in middle school. Good now though.

 

Made me waste £10 on members which turned out to be shit.

 

made me turn fat but im not fat anymore since i quit

 

If you got bullied by people for playing runescape.. they truly are not your friends..

My friends know i play runescape.. im 18.. my girlfriends knows i play.. doesnt bother anyone aslong as i take it in moderation

Extremely, i read someone commented about painkillers, ive had similar problem, i used to be addicted to painkillers and play runescape, maybe its related.

 

Runescape affected my school grades in primary school and in early high school. I'd rush ALL my homework just to hop onto Runescape for a couple hours and stare at my Rune scimitar(serious)

My close friends know I play, yet they still see me the same since we get a long very well. New friends can be made any day anytime, just gotta find the right ones who will respect you regardless what you play

 

Blaming Runescape for your problems is like blaming a casino for you being wiped of your cash. You were the reason that it happened, you can control it or seek help for a problem that exists. Except maybe being bullied about it, but any other problems is your own fault so you really can't blame RS for it. I guess people don't know what self-control is, which I suppose could be excusable if you are like 11 or 12 but if you are like 18+ blaming RS for your problems it is rather sad...


The worse thing that happened to me was that I wasted money on membership.

 

...and we're told that botting damages the game? More like the game damages people.. Fuck Jagex!

 

Damaged my social life partly when I was leading a pure clan and turning down going to parties to lead weekend pk trips apart from that not really at all, My friends know I play it and my girlfriend does.

 

Probably just alot of time wasted that's all for a game I never will receive any positive influence or something to help me with my life. It's addicting just like anything else can be. I believe though that it's not a bad thing to do as long as you don't let it take over your life, meaning only putting Runescape as your number one priority over everything else.


I guess I shouldn't complain though as I didn't play anything else besides Runescape - hell haven't console gamed for 6 years. There are people who play Xbox, console gaming for hours AND Runescape AND WoW. xD

I might have to say though I wish I never gotten into blackmarket for Runescape as I have lost $1000 in the process from being scammed.

But...I guess I could say that is has "damaged" my life by having me pay for memberships, but that's my choice and it provides me with entertainment...So I stick to my original statement, it hasn't damaged my life at all...

 

That happened to me, just pretend you quit etc, and don't even tell your closest friends just incase they leak it, like they did to me -.- so I then had to pretend quit AGAIN, then I carried on for another year without anyone knowing, then my mate told me hes started again, so only me and my best mate I trust know, and family but they won't tell anyone, I still get the occasional "shut up bill, you play rs" when they have no come backs haha.

Now, its effected me being tired for staying up late, and sleeping in school haha, also I get called a RS nerd once in a while, but I can deal with it, not really effected me, I'd rather have this and play RuneScape and have fun than not play RuneScape at all.

 

honestly...if you guys have to "hide" the games you play..that's pretty sad and also sort of tells the kind of person you are...

My gf knows I play rs, my daughter plays rs (sorta, she is 6..lol) and my friends know I play rs...it's just a game...I don't get why people think that playing a 360 for 12 hours a day is any better then playing rs for 2...

 

It hasn't really damaged my social life since most of my friends played Runescape at one point or another in their teens, a lot of them actually think it's a good game, but can't be arsed to pay the subscription fee for membs.
