How do you think the Universe began?

Science is barely flawed. They always find solid facts and evidence to show the truth of how things work and are. Religion stands by their beliefs even when they are proven wrong. They do not change their beliefs when a truth is told. Religion rarley uses logic and reason. But when they do, they implicate the less rasonable explanation that fits their beliefs.

Real religions? As far as I know a real religion is one that is followed and believed my a group of people and its organized. All religions follow at least on rule blind, although it is true it took a lot of knowledge to perceive a different understanding on life than others. Just because Christianity get most of its beliefs out of books does not mean it isnt a religion. All religions are made by people who had a certain way of thinking of their surroundings and life itself. They wrote it down and little by little those who seemed respected and trusted were heard. All the miracles and events that are included in bibles aren't really true.

Religion is here to help understand, that is true, but it is to prove that a higher being controls what it happening and that being created all existence. You are giving a partial answer, I do see your point on how the meaning of life is not within an explanation of science; but the afterlife is a believe not a thought/philosophical idea. Flawed but I got what you meant =]

Beliefs can be proven or disproved. For example early religions believed some of the planets were Gods watching over them. It was obviously disproved as they were planets, not Gods. Although not all beliefs can be disproved yet, they eventually will once we have an further understanding on life.
